Wonderful to see the new Junior School at Geelong College achieve practical completion. A huge congratulations to Fairbrother Construction, John Wardle Architects and everyone else who worked on this project.
EBSA was thrilled to be involved, supplying and installing the awning windows with ultra-quiet CDC digital actuators, controlled by a digital CPS-M control panel which is linked digitally to the Building Management System.
The Control Panel provides signals direct from the digital actuator which indicates when the window is opened locally so that the BMS is informed that the window has been opened by a teacher. The air conditioner is shut down to keep the building operating efficiently while providing fresh air into the classroom. All user entries are logged internally by the Control Panel to identify any operating issues.
The use of digital actuators has significantly reduced cabling costs by enabling actuators to be wired together and allocated by software into their appropriate ventilation zones. Any actuator parameters may be adjusted from the control panel or indeed remotely if the customer requires this functionality.
Another innovative system solution delivered by EBSA.
